Jamila transforms the human collective into aural silk; her voice blossoms and bathes the soul in sensual colors of glowing ombre. Her notes simmer, smolder, dip and drift; each song feeling like a carefully wrapped gift to anyone lending an ear.

Hailing from Oakland, CA Jamila touched down in Los Angeles with a yearning to share her Love for music with the world. Quoting an inspiration of hers, Stevie Wonder; she firmly believes that “Love's in need of Love today." and that her purpose is to contribute her vocal silk to the fabric of Love songs that blanket the hearts and souls of this music genre.

With comparisons to Sade and Meshell Ndegeocello, Jamila was encouraged to connect with LA musician and producer Man In A Loft, to bring her vision to life and share her journey via stages around Los Angeles.  

She soon began commanding, wooing and holding the underground bar & lounge scene under the spell of her sultry voice as a solo artist - where she was discovered and approached to write and record music for film and television. This landed her voice and specifically scored lyrics on programs that aired on networks that include but were not limited to; NBC, ABC, CBS and Showtime. She also recorded with other hit makers such as Ariel Rechtshaid. 

Recently, Jamila returned to the studio to record her first EP titled "Love is Sexy".

Finally the world will get to experience her ethereal versions of Love & Light over fresh plucked strings, tropical bass and velvety smooth production.
